Reaching Allahabad
By Air

Air India operates flights on the New Delhi-Allahabad and the Mumbai-Allahabad sectors (flight duration:1.5-2 hours). Alternatively, it is possible to fly to Lucknow (200 km away) or Varanasi (120 km away) and take a taxi from there to Allahabad. By Train
Allahabad is a railway junction and is served by dozens of trains linking it to metropolitan cities as well as smaller towns. Websites of the Indian Railways provide information about routes, trains and tariff (www.indianrail.gov.in) as well as make it possible for you to book your train ticket online (www.irctc.co.in).
Train tickets can be booked a maximum of 60 days in advance of the date of travel. It is advisable to book as early as possible.
By Bus
UP Roadways (air conditioned Volvo) buses link Lucknow to Allahabad (4 hours and 45 minutes), and run several times a day. You can book your bus ticket on www.makemytrip.com. Alternatively, there are non-air-conditioned buses between Allahabad and Varanasi, which can be boarded at the Allahabad Civil Lines bus stand.
